Homeware Wishlist

I've been getting really into interior design lately and here a selection of a few items that I really want to pick up as soon as I get some money. I've got to say I'm really impressed with the home ware stuff in Asda at the moment especially their Luna themed collection!

OOTD #26

I think it's fair to say that it's been a long time since I last did an outfit post on my blog, in fact I'm pretty sure it's been almost a year. If I've realised anything whilst attending my first year of university it's that you stop caring about what you look like really, really quickly. I pretty much lived in the same 3 comfy outfits so nothing was ever blog worthy. However I've recently done a bit of clothes shopping and picked up some new summery pieces so hopefully this encourages me to try and get out and take more outfit pictures. One of the items I recently picked up was this dress which is currently in the Motel Rocks summer sale. I have been looking at this dress for so long I can't even begin to tell you. I was so reluctant to pay the full price for it as it's a little different to what I'd usually go for but when I saw it reduced to just £15 in the summer sale I had to snap it up straight away! The material is very flowy and soft so it's perfect for the hot weather we currently have been experiencing here in the UK. (The oversized loose fit of it is also perfect for hiding any food babies from any summer BBQ's you may be attending *ahem*) The sandals I'm wearing in this post are from New Look and are fast becoming my favourite pair of shoes. If you're looking for a chunky sandal for summer then I'd definitely recommend these. They're so comfy and go with so many different outfits, plus they've also just been reduced in the New Look Sale!

P.s. Please ignore my dodgy hair here - I've decided to experiment with growing my fringe out. I've always had some form of a fringe since mid way through year 8 so it's really odd having my forehead so exposed all of a sudden...

New In: Missguided Pieces

Hello Readers,

I've been on a spending ban recently and managed to go almost four months without treating myself to anything. Which is pretty amazing by my standards, especially as I find that reading a lot of blogs / watching a lot of beauty and fashion content on Youtube really does sway me into buying things that I probably could have lived without. After going so long without picking any bits up I finally decided it was time to reward myself as we all deserve the odd treat every now and again! It just so happened to be around the time that Missguided sent an email out promoting 30% off of selected items. I had a night out coming up so quickly took the chance to snap up a new outfit at a discounted price.

This was the playsuit I picked up for my night out - now admittedly it's not something I ever thought I'd like as typically when I go on nights out I either wear black, white or red. I don't think I've ever gone out in something so loud yet there was something that really drew me to this. I really love the dark, romantic feel to this playsuit. It looks lovely with a little black belt to cinch in the waist and some chunky black heels to add some height. I wore my MAC Rebel lipstick with this and honestly, it's like a match made in heaven. Perfect combination of colours! I managed to get this for £19.45 all together including delivery thanks to the discount code.

Mintare Crop Top with Spaghetti Straps - £9.99

I didn't intend to order any other items from Missguided until 12 days later - when Missguided sent me another email offering a discount code. This time they were doing a secret 24 hour discount for those who are signed up to their email list (seriously it's worth doing, they offer a lot of discounts!) In this email they gave you a code which when used at checkout would either be worth 10%, 15% or 20% so I decided to check mine and what do you know?! It happened to be worth 20% so I just had to pick some stuff up! First up I got this Mintare Crop Top with Spaghetti Straps in black. I've been looking at getting this little top for so long and finally decided to get it. It's a great little basic which fits me so well. I definitely think I'm going to pick up a few more - some printed ones would be great!

The final thing I picked up is this pair of Lace trim Shorts. Again, this isn't something I'd typically go for but I found myself really drawn to them. They're very easy to style and could easily go from day to night so I hope to get lots of use out of them! Look out for these being featured in an outfit post very soon.

That's all for this small haul. I know it isn't much but I just thought I'd show you the new pieces that I've just added to my wardrobe. If you haven't had a look at Missguided before then I highly recommend checking them out. They have a fantastic range of clothes, shoes, accessories etc and all of it is very reasonably priced. It's probably my favourite place to shop now! Also, they've recently been giving out free Kinder Buenos with each order which is a nice little bonus! Free chocolate and discounted clothes *Heavenly*

That's all for this post! I hope you're all well.

OOTD #22

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you all. It's not a very exciting outfit, however I thought I'd update my blog anyway as I've been pretty bad with keeping up with it as of lately. I'm in the middle of sorting out university related matters at the moment, I think I've decided on going to NTU so I've been applying for student finance and trying to sort accommodation out. I never realised just how expensive student accommodation can be! Looks like if I do find somewhere to live, I'll be fitting into that "broke student" stereotype rather quickly.

I quickly nipped into town today, hence the casual outfit and tragic hair that I'm sporting. I ended up picking up two sets of Primark's false nails. I'll be giving them a go and hopefully reviewing them on my blog soon, which should be pretty interesting as I've never wore fake nails before!

Outfit:
White Boxy Textured Tshirt - Topshop
Black Acid Wash Joni Jeans - Topshop
Black Heeled Boots - Topshop
Gold Chain Necklace - River Island

That's all for today's post. I hope you're all well!

Outfit Inspo

Hello Readers,

I thought I'd share some outfit inspiration with you all today as I've lately found myself eyeing up so many pieces online which I sadly cannot afford so the very least I can do is virtually style them. Most of the pieces I've featured in this post are actually really affordable, aside from the shoes which will break the bank however they're just so amazing I had to include them in this post. I've really fallen in love with the Jeffrey Campbell Scullys, which was rather unexpected as at first I wasn't sure what I thought to them. Now I'm desperate to get my hands on a pair, or preferably a cheaper dupe! So with that being said, if anyone knows of any dupes please let me know. I need some shoes like this in my life!

OOTD #21

Hello Readers,

Today I have my first OOTD post of 2014! I'm really hoping to post a lot more outfits this year as I'd say I have more of an interest in style rather than beauty, although saying that I do love them both. Also I feel like I don't really know enough about make-up to really be writing about it sometimes, I don't know if anyone else in the blogging community feels that way? My problem with OOTD posts is that I rarely ever go anywhere worth making an effort for, like today for example I went for breakfast and then went to the shop. Half the time I go out it's to run simple little errands like that so I don't wear anything special and anytime I actually am going anywhere and have made an effort, I don't seem to have time to take pictures. So I basically just need to push myself to either make an effort more often or to actually go places! - Potential resolutions for this year?

Today's outfit is rather simple and unfortunately is very similar to one that I wore back in October time I think? This skort has made an appearance on my blog before but I swear I'm wearing it with different items this time! (although they do look similar oops) As per usual I've stayed true to my typically monochromatic style, pairing this fluffy cropped Topshop jumper I got for Christmas with my little patterned skort. I've then paired it with my fairly new heeled boots from Topshop, I did originally want the Topshop Astrix boots, however they didn't have any in my size so I settled for the cheaper lookalikes and to be fair I love them just as much! They're extremely comfortable and give me a much needed height boost without being too unpractical. I threw on my new oversized jacket from New Look that I got last week and then to wrap it all up, It wouldn't be a typical outfit from me without my trusty little bowler hat that never seems to leave my head!

Fluffy Cropped Black Jumper - Topshop
Monochrome Skort - Ebay
Heeled Boots - Topshop
Bowler Hat - Amazon
Coat - New Look.
Tights - Primark

That's all for this post. I hope you're enjoyed it, sorry if it seems like I rambled on a little bit in some places - I feel like I may have got a little too chatty in this one haha!

I hope you're all well!

Topshop Wishlist #2

*None of these images were taken by me*
Hello Readers,

Long time no see right? I've been extremely busy lately with work so I've really not had much time or motivation for blogging so apologies for that. I've mentioned in my 50 facts about me post that I recently got a Christmas Temp job in Topshop, which I'm over the moon about! So with that being said, working there means I'm always eyeing up the beautiful stock. Here are a few items which I currently have my eye on.

1. Tartan Tee - £32
I absolutely love this little top, I've featured it in a previous post entitled, AW13 Trend: Plaid.
It's a great statement piece which means styling it would be a breeze, just a simple pair of black shorts or black high waisted jeans would look great.

It's pretty much a given that I'm drawn to anything monochrome and these high waisted treggings are no exception. Essentially these are just printed disco pants so I know I'd get on well with these as disco pants are my favourite kind of trousers.

3. Stripe Tunic - £29
This striped tunic is such a classic piece so it's definitely worth the investment. Stripes never go out of style so this is a piece of clothing that will serve you well over time. Styling this would also be incredibly simple, a bold red lip, heeled ankle boots and a bowler hat would make this a super cute outfit. Simple yet sophisticated.

4.
Lolita 60's Round Sunglasses - £16
Sunglasses at this time of the year? Yes. I don't care, I love these. I love the style of them and even if they didn't suit me, I'd definitely use these for a photoshoot.

5.
Petite Green Check Treggings - £28
Tartan is so on trend right now so these treggings are something which I really want to pick up. I think they'd look great with my Chunky Cut Out Ankle Boots which I got from Ebay a few months ago.

The more I see these at work and on customers, the more my love for these boots develops. I think these are the perfect A/W shoe and look extremely stylish and practical.

7.
Velvet Collar Tee - £38
Although I'm not really a big fan of the feel of velvet, I do really like how it looks. This piece features a minimal amount of velvet so I think I'd be able to handle it. This top is incredibly cute and I know I'd find it easy to style.

That's all for this post. I hope you're all well!

OOTD #19

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you all. It's been a little while since my last one as the colder weather has kicked in and I don't particularly want to be standing around taking pictures in the rain or gail force winds. I'm still yet to find a decent indoor space to do my OOTD shots, this time I tried the hallway in the block of flats that I live in. I'm not really the biggest fan of these images however I really wanted to get these up as I'd love to turn my blog into a bit more of a fashion based one.

I finally decided to wear the cat print skater skirt I picked up from H&M back in September. I styled it quite simply, just with a plain white boyfriend style tshirt, a bowler hat and some cut out boots. I believe the skirt is quite a statement piece due to the abstract print so I decided just to play it safe and style the rest of the outfit in quite a minimalistic way. I'm a big fan of monochrome and minimalism as you may know!

Outfit:
Cat Print Skirt - H&M
White Boyfriend T-shirt - Topman
Black Cut Out Boots - Ebay
Black Tights - Primark
Bowler Hat - Amazon.

That's all for this post, I'm off now to try and tackle the challenge that is UCAS!
I hope you're all well.

Birthday Wishlist

Hello Readers,

Sorry again for disappearing for so long! I went home on Friday for a visit and didn't come back till late last night. As a future warning I probably won't blog at all when I go home for brief visits as I don't have any products or clothes with me that I want to photograph. Also because when I go home I don't want to be glued to my laptop, I want to be catching up with my family! So hopefully you all don't mind that.

Anyway, if you didn't know already it's my birthday in 10 days time. I'll be turning 19 which seems so crazy as I still feel and look about 14 years old! I decided to make a little birthday wishlist of a few items that I have my eye on right now and wouldn't mind receiving as a gift.

From Left To Right

6. Sleek Pout Paint in Lava - £5.72
7. Motel Zena Bodycon Dress in Henna Hand Print - £32

That's all for my birthday wishlist.

I hope you've enjoyed. Is your birthday coming up soon? What are you hoping to get for your birthday? Let me know!

I hope you're all well.

Ebay Wishlist #3

*None of these images were taken by me*
Hello Readers,

Today I have another Ebay Wishlist for you all, however it unintentionally turned into a monochrome themed one. I just can't help myself, I seem to be drawn to black and white!
I'm not really much of an Ebay shopper myself however I can always find a few bits and pieces that I like.

1. Primark Black Heart Print Tea Dress - £11.99
I am always drawn towards anything black and white, especially when it has a print on it. I've been looking at a very similar playsuit to this on Boohoo recently so it's safe to say that I'm loving heart print at the moment. I think this is just a really cute dress that easy to style and a great staple to have.

2. River Island Black and White Geometric Print Skater Skirt - £9.99
Another black and white item with a print to it. I was eyeing this up for ages and when I finally saw in the sale in River Island, they were out of my size. Fast forward a month or so later and I find it on Ebay. This skirt is a timeless piece, very easy to style and again a good staple to have.

3. Black Cropped Mesh Top with Heart Detail - £14.99
I don't know if this is everyone's cup of tea however I am really drawn to this crop top. It's quite a loud piece but I think if styled correctly it could look really nice. I love the texture of this item and I can safely say there's nothing like this in my wardrobe.

4. Wool Cat Ear Bowler Hat - £2.86
I have been desperate for one of these ever since I saw one in H&M a little while ago. I think they're really adorable and definitely a good piece to have now as it's so close to Halloween.

5. Round Circle Frame Sunglasses with Engraved Letter Detail - £8.99
Next up is an item that I'm sure most of you may recognise from Kavita's blog She Wears Fashion. Kavita has been sporting these sunglasses in quite a few of her OOTD posts and she is definitely the reason I want a pair. She pulls them off so well so I'm curious to see if I can too as I've only recently got into slightly more wacky looking pairs of sunglasses.

That's all for this post, I hope you've enjoyed!
Let me know what you think of the items.

I hope you're all well.

From Left To Right:

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think of this selection of coats. Which do you like best?
I'd love to hear!

OOTD #18

Hello Readers,

I've already tried to do this post once today but it messed up so hopefully this time it works! Today I have an OOTD post for you all. I'd just like to apologize for the quality of these photographs as they're not very good. I had to take these images during the evening so the lighting sucks. I spent my day handing out more CV's and just in general walking around Nottingham. Me and my boyfriend Chris also stopped to have lunch at this adorable little cafĂ© called the Olive Tree. I wish I had bought my camera along to snap some pictures!

My outfit today was quite simple, I decided to wear my brand new Motel Rocks shirt which I picked up in their recent sale for £19. Believe it or not but that was the first time I've ever placed an order with Motel Rocks and I'd gladly do it again. I was super happy with the service and the quality of my items. I shall do a small haul post within the next few days where I'll show you the other Motel item I picked up as well as this shirt.

Outfit:
Faux Leather Skirt - H&M
Cropped Printed Shirt - Motel Rocks
Tights - Primark
Backpack - Primark
Bowler Hat - Amazon

That's it for this post, I hope you're all well!

OOTD #17

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you all. I decided today was the day I was going to style up this beautiful skort I got from Ebay a week or so ago. I featured it in a recent haul so if you're interested in seeing that click here. I decided to keep this outfit quite simple and work with the monochrome theme. I think although this outfit is rather basic, it still looks interesting due to the quirky cut of the skort and the eyecatching geometric style print.

I also wanted to do this post to show off the fact that I finally got my hair cut. If you've been keeping up with my blog or my twitter, you'd have seen that I've been winging about my hair for a while now. For ages I've been unsure whether or not to keep my side fringe or go back to a full fringe and yesterday I bit the bullet and decided on a full fringe. I also had quite a bit taken off the length as my hair was in such a bad state. I'm really happy with my hair so I hope you like it too!

Outfit:

Leather Jacket with Faux Fur Collar - Topshop
Black Jumper - H&M
Monochrome Skort - Ebay
Tights - Primark
Peter Pan Boots - New Look
Backpack - Primark
Bowler Hat - Amazon

That's all for this post, I hope you're all well.

What I'd Wear: Night Out

Hello Readers,

I decided to start a new series entitled, "What I'd Wear". Today I'll be showing you what I'd wear on a night out. I don't go out very often, however when I do, I just love getting all dressed up. It's definitely part of the appeal of a night out!

Columba Cut Out Bodycon Dress - Lashes of London - £55
"Reese" Chunky Wedge Heels - Chocker Shoes - £25
Chunky Curb ID Bracelet - Topshop - £10
Russian Red Lipstick - MAC - £15

Please forgive me but I've forgotten where the bag is from but I'm pretty sure it's River Island.

I decided to keep this outfit quite simple, by going with classic colours. All black with accents of gold detailing and a bold red lip. Simple yet effective.

I hope you enjoy this post and that you find it interesting.
I hope you're all well.

Paige.

OOTD #16

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you all. I went out shopping today just to pick up a few essential skincare bits and bobs that I was running low on. I also intended to do a bit of clothes shopping however that was cut short by some torrential rain. Hence why my outfit photos are indoors! I hate having to do them indoors as the lighting is awful and the background isn't very visually appealing however it'll have to do for today I'm afraid

Despite the gloomy weather I decided to head out without tights as I was adamant that this outfit looks better without them. Impractical yes but I'm a stubborn person when it comes to admitting that it's finally time to add some more layers on.

Outfit;
Cropped Striped Mesh Top - Topshop
Denim Pinafore with Pleather Straps - Primark
Cut out Boots - Ebay
Black Pleather Back Pack - Primark
Scrunchie - Primark

That's all for this post, I hope you're all well.

Paige.

Review: Ebay Cut Out Boots

Hello Readers,

Today I will be reviewing for you my Cut Out Ankle Boots which I received as a present from my boyfriend Chris, over 2 weeks ago now. Cut out boots are massively on trend right now and in a post that I did yesterday, I actually featured these boots. As there is such a demand for this style of shoe right now I thought it might be helpful if I review these boots for those of you who may be interested in buying them.

These boots are from Ebay and cost £29.99. The seller I purchased them from stocks 3 different versions of the boots so you do have some variety in what to chose from. You can get them in Black Faux Leather, Black Suede or Tan Brown Faux Leather. I picked them up in Black Faux Leather as Suede shoes are a nightmare to keep clean and I'd have an easier time styling black leather than brown leather as I mostly tend to wear monochrome outfits.

Delivery is £3.99 which obviously does bump up the price a little more however I think this is a perfectly acceptable amount for a pair of boots. My boyfriend ordered these on the 15th of September and they were with me by the 19th. Believe it or not but this was my first item I had ever gotten off of Ebay and I was extremely happy with the service!

The boots themselves are really good quality. I've worn them many times now and I have had no problems with them whatsoever. They're true to size which was a massive relief as getting shoes without trying them on is always a gamble for me. Surprisingly these boots did not require any breaking in and are extremely comfortable, I've not experienced any rubbing or any blisters!

The gold hardware on the boots is also of good quality, I've had nothing break or come off like I know some people have experienced with the New Look boots. I haven't noticed any scratches or scuffs on the hardware either.

Overall I couldn't have been more happy with these boots. The quality of them is amazing, the price was really reasonable and the service was great. The boots are so easy to style and I've had many compliments on them. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone who is trying to find a cheaper dupe for the cut out boots!

That's all for this post, I hope you're all well.

Paige.
