Homeware Wishlist

I've been getting really into interior design lately and here a selection of a few items that I really want to pick up as soon as I get some money. I've got to say I'm really impressed with the home ware stuff in Asda at the moment especially their Luna themed collection!

Tropical Vibes

Hello Readers,

Today I have a little fashion mood board to share with you all. As we're getting closer to Summer (apparently) the highstreet stores are flourishing with bright vibrant colours and in your face tropical prints. I'm not the biggest fan of colour, in fact if you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that I'm pretty much a full on monochrome lover. It's a rare occasion if I'm ever wearing colour, however this year bright colours have been really catching my eye and I've found myself lusting after neon pieces and quirky patterned clothes. Here I've put together an outfit consisting of some of the Tropical inspired pieces that River Island are currently stocking. I 100% need to go and get that skirt at some point as this is one I feel like I can't go without..

1. Yellow High Neck Crop Top  - £10
2. Blue Floral Print Skirt - £25
3. Gold Tone Mixed Rings - £8
4. Yellow Peep Toe Platforms - £55
5. Gold Tone Slinky Bar Necklace - £12
6. Purple perspex embellished box clutch bag - £35

That's all for this post! I hope you're all well.

OOTD #22

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you all. It's not a very exciting outfit, however I thought I'd update my blog anyway as I've been pretty bad with keeping up with it as of lately. I'm in the middle of sorting out university related matters at the moment, I think I've decided on going to NTU so I've been applying for student finance and trying to sort accommodation out. I never realised just how expensive student accommodation can be! Looks like if I do find somewhere to live, I'll be fitting into that "broke student" stereotype rather quickly.

I quickly nipped into town today, hence the casual outfit and tragic hair that I'm sporting. I ended up picking up two sets of Primark's false nails. I'll be giving them a go and hopefully reviewing them on my blog soon, which should be pretty interesting as I've never wore fake nails before!

Outfit:
White Boxy Textured Tshirt - Topshop
Black Acid Wash Joni Jeans - Topshop
Black Heeled Boots - Topshop
Gold Chain Necklace - River Island

That's all for today's post. I hope you're all well!

Huge Collective Haul

Hello Readers,

Today I have a rather large collective haul to show you. These are things that I've accumulated throughout mid December to mid January time. Majority of the items I have purchased myself however a few of them are Christmas presents which I wanted to include as well. So enough chit chat and on with the haul!

The first item I have to show you is this absolutely beautiful Skort which I got from Topshop. If you keep up with my blog, you'll know that I'm a monochrome kind of girl and tend not to wear any sort of colour. However I just couldn't resist this piece. The moment I saw it in store I knew I had to have it and after a few days thought, I went back and snapped it up. It's a beautiful thick satin material and is in this lovely peachy orange colour which is a colour I don't think I have in my wardrobe whatsoever. This skort is £40 which is rather pricey but for the quality of the material, I think it's worth it.
Next up is this adorable little jumper which would you believe it or not was from Primark! This is something I'd easily pay quite a bit of money from in any high street store but it was only £12 which is such a good price for something as cute as this! I've worn this quite a few times since picking it up and can see it quickly becoming a regular go to piece.
Next is another surprising Primark piece and it's one that you may have seen before as I know it's really popular with bloggers right now. It's this lovely cropped fluffy high neck jumper which was only £10. They do this in a few different colours however I went with the creamy white colour as it's the one I felt I could get the most use out of. If you like the look of this, I highly recommend picking it up asap as I'm sure this will sell out fast!
Next are these statement poppy jacquard treggings which I featured in my Topshop wishlist post back in December. I very kindly received them as a Christmas present from my Mum which I'm very grateful for. These are essentially just printed disco pants so naturally I was very drawn to them as I'm a big fan of the AA disco pants. As they're such a statement piece they're really easy to style, I like to wear them with just a simple black jumper and heeled boots. A simple, comfy yet quirky outfit due to the print of the treggings. These are available from Topshop and cost £28.
Next item is this Asymmetric Bandage Skirt from Missguided. This was also a Christmas present, however this one was from my boyfriend, Chris. This skirt is a classic staple piece which I know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of. The asymmetric cut makes it stand out in comparison to your traditional black skirt and can give a quirky edge to any outfit. This skirt is still available on Missguided and retails for £19.99 which is fantastic value. I've featured it in an OOTD post on my instagram which you can check out by clicking here.
Next item is this lovely little skater skirt from Primark. It's a lovely red wine colour although in the photo it's coming up rather bright so apologies for that. I picked this up on my hunt for a red velvet skirt, however they didn't have the velvet ones in my size so I went with this faux silk one instead. It's a beautiful piece and came in handy during the festive period! I can't remember the exact price of this skirt however I think it was around £6.
Next up is another item from Topshop. These are Leather Look Dungarees which I know won't be to everyone's taste, infact I myself wasn't too sure on them in the beginning but there was just something about them that drew me to them. It wasn't until I tried them on in the changing rooms that I realised just how much I like them. I picked these up in a size 6 and they seem to fit quite well. These leather look dungarees are £55 and are still available on the Topshop website if anyone is interested.
Next up is another Topshop item and it's this cropped fluffy black jumper. This was a Christmas present from my mum and since receiving it on Christmas day, I've had to battle with the urge to wear it almost everyday. It's so comfortable and snuggly, not to mention a great staple piece. It goes with everything in my wardrobe and I simply adore it. They have these in a few different colours and I'm thinking of picking up a few more as I love it that much. This jumper is still available from Topshop and costs £34.
Next up is this Faux Leather Asymmetric Skirt in this beautiful dusky pink colour. As I said before in this post, I'm not the biggest fan of colour, pink in particular as I feel like it doesn't suit me. However when I saw this on the Missguided website it was just too beautiful to pass up. The model looked amazing in it and I really liked how they'd styled it on her so that also helped convinced me to buy it. This skirt was £19.99 and I hope to be featuring it in an OOTD post soon!
Next up is this lovely white Skort, also from Missguided. I'm really into Skorts at the moment, and couldn't resist picking up this simple white one. It's a great staple piece and will fit great into my mostly monochrome wardrobe! This Skort retails for £17.99 and is still available on the website.
Yet another Skort I know, however this one is so beautiful I just had to have it in my life. I don't own anything tapestry print, which is beyond me as I really love the pattern. I was looking at picking up a two piece tapestry print suit a while ago however the price put me off, when I came across this Skort on Boohoo I thought for sure it would be pricey yet amazingly it only cost £15! I absolutely love the way they've styled it on the website, and plan on wearing it in a similar sort of way. I adore it so much and I just know I'm going to wear it a lot! Look out for an OOTD post featuring it very soon!
Back to Topshop now! Again, you may or may not have already have seen these leggings before as they are rather popular. These are the Blackwatch Check leggings which are basically just a blue - green tartan print. Again, they're super easy to style and are really comfortable to wear. They are still available on the Topshop website and cost £25.
Next up is another Christmas present from my mum, these are the infamous Topshop joni jeans. I have them in a light blue shade and I'm very happy to finally have them in another colour. These are the black acid wash colour I've already worn these a fair few times and love them to pieces! They suck you in and make you look super slender so I highly recommend them. These retail for £36 which seems expensive but Topshop jeans are worth it!
Next up is another Missguided item, this is a cropped white mesh tshirt which I can't see on the website anymore however if it has sold out then it will be restocked sometime soon as Missguided tend to restock popular items within 2 - 3 weeks. I'm yet to wear this however I think it'll look great with the faux leather pink skirt I also picked up from Missguided. Expect to see it feature on an outfit post on my blog sometime soon.
Next up is a jumper from Next which I kindly received as a Christmas present from my boyfriends dad and his girlfriend. This is a lovely thin knitted V-neck which features small sparkly silver threads all throughout it. This jumper is a great staple piece and looks great with the printed Treggings I got from Topshop.
Yet another Missguided item, this is a Long Sleeve Dogtooth Boxy Top. This retails for £17.99 and is still available on the website. It's a lovely little monochrome top which will look great when paired with a leather bodycon skirt. I'm yet to wear this out but I shall do an outfit post with it when I do.
Next up is this cropped fluffy cream jumper from Boohoo. This was only £20 which is great value for money and is available in 3 different sizes. I went with the small and it fits great! I've worn this jumper with my tapestry print skort also from Boohoo and they look amazing together. This is a great staple piece which can be used time and time again.
Next up is another Missguided item (I clearly love MG) this is a cropped rose print shirt which my boyfriend very kindly got me as a Christmas present. I first saw this shirt featured on Missguided's instagram, I knew I had to have it. It's such a beautiful piece and a colourful one at that! I featured this on an outfit post on my instagram which you can see here. I can't see this on the website anymore however it was quite a popular piece so I should imagine it'll be restocked soon.
Next up is this mohair jumper from Primark. This jumper is quite different to your usual fluffy jumper as it has jersey sleeves and detailing. It's not something I thought I would go for, however when I tried it on there was just something about it that drew me to it. I find this looks great styled with some simple dark jeans and some chunky ankle boots. I can't quite remember the price of this but I think it might have been £12?
Next up is this beautiful boyfriend style coat from New Look. I've wanted to get my hands on a coat like this for ages but just found them to be so overpriced in other stores. I wandered into New Look one day and came across this coat which retails for £39.99. I snapped it up straight away and with student discount managed to get it for around £35 which Is pretty good for a coat. I absolutely love this jacket which is unusual for me as my mum will know that I am the hardest person to buy a coat for!
Next up is this Tartan shirt dress which is from Missguided. I picked this up in a 10 which I really shouldn't have as it's so long on me! The model on the site is wearing an 8, and it looked a little bit short on her so I thought I'd size up. How silly was I to forget that this was a model, a girl who is close to 6ft tall. I am not a model, I am a short girl around 5'4" so the 10 looks like I've stole my boyfriends shirt. However when belted in the middle I think it looks alright so I'm just going to keep it and if I change my mind then it should be comfy to sleep in! This dress is still available on the site and costs £24.99
Next up is the only footwear I have in this haul and it's these little Topshop lace up boots which I bought back in December time. I've been wearing them pretty much non stop since I picked them up as I love that little bit of height they give me. I'm a heel girl so I really appreciate being able to wear a sensible heeled shoe on a day to day basis. These boots cost £38 however because of how much wear I've had out of them so far, I'd say they're definitely worth it!
The final thing in this haul is this simple white textured boxy tee from Topshop. I picked this up back in December and actually haven't wore it that many times as It's got a little mark on it and I haven't got enough whites to put on a white wash (haha so lazy I know!) So when I do finally get this tee in the wash, expect to see it feature on my blog as it's very easy to style. This top cost about £22.

That's all for this haul. It's a rather large one so if you managed to stick to it and read all through this post then well done! I'm sorry for being a bit MIA recently, I'm hoping to sort that out and get back to blogging. (or so she says..)

I hope you're all well!

Topshop Wishlist #2

*None of these images were taken by me*
Hello Readers,

Long time no see right? I've been extremely busy lately with work so I've really not had much time or motivation for blogging so apologies for that. I've mentioned in my 50 facts about me post that I recently got a Christmas Temp job in Topshop, which I'm over the moon about! So with that being said, working there means I'm always eyeing up the beautiful stock. Here are a few items which I currently have my eye on.

1. Tartan Tee - £32
I absolutely love this little top, I've featured it in a previous post entitled, AW13 Trend: Plaid.
It's a great statement piece which means styling it would be a breeze, just a simple pair of black shorts or black high waisted jeans would look great.

It's pretty much a given that I'm drawn to anything monochrome and these high waisted treggings are no exception. Essentially these are just printed disco pants so I know I'd get on well with these as disco pants are my favourite kind of trousers.

3. Stripe Tunic - £29
This striped tunic is such a classic piece so it's definitely worth the investment. Stripes never go out of style so this is a piece of clothing that will serve you well over time. Styling this would also be incredibly simple, a bold red lip, heeled ankle boots and a bowler hat would make this a super cute outfit. Simple yet sophisticated.

4.
Lolita 60's Round Sunglasses - £16
Sunglasses at this time of the year? Yes. I don't care, I love these. I love the style of them and even if they didn't suit me, I'd definitely use these for a photoshoot.

5.
Petite Green Check Treggings - £28
Tartan is so on trend right now so these treggings are something which I really want to pick up. I think they'd look great with my Chunky Cut Out Ankle Boots which I got from Ebay a few months ago.

The more I see these at work and on customers, the more my love for these boots develops. I think these are the perfect A/W shoe and look extremely stylish and practical.

7.
Velvet Collar Tee - £38
Although I'm not really a big fan of the feel of velvet, I do really like how it looks. This piece features a minimal amount of velvet so I think I'd be able to handle it. This top is incredibly cute and I know I'd find it easy to style.

That's all for this post. I hope you're all well!

OOTD #18

Hello Readers,

I've already tried to do this post once today but it messed up so hopefully this time it works! Today I have an OOTD post for you all. I'd just like to apologize for the quality of these photographs as they're not very good. I had to take these images during the evening so the lighting sucks. I spent my day handing out more CV's and just in general walking around Nottingham. Me and my boyfriend Chris also stopped to have lunch at this adorable little cafĂ© called the Olive Tree. I wish I had bought my camera along to snap some pictures!

My outfit today was quite simple, I decided to wear my brand new Motel Rocks shirt which I picked up in their recent sale for £19. Believe it or not but that was the first time I've ever placed an order with Motel Rocks and I'd gladly do it again. I was super happy with the service and the quality of my items. I shall do a small haul post within the next few days where I'll show you the other Motel item I picked up as well as this shirt.

Outfit:
Faux Leather Skirt - H&M
Cropped Printed Shirt - Motel Rocks
Tights - Primark
Backpack - Primark
Bowler Hat - Amazon

That's it for this post, I hope you're all well!

Mini Haul #7

Hello Readers,

Today I have a mini haul to share with you all. I've been picking up a few bits and bobs over the last 2 weeks and I thought I'd share them with you. There's a mixture of beauty, clothes and accessories so I'll just get straight into it!

First thing I got was 2 Simple Kind To Skin Roll On Spot Zappers. I've got through loads of these little tubes now and I love them. The Roll On Spot Zappers are really kind and gentle to the skin and help to gradually get rid of any spots that I have. They contain Zinc, Chamomile, Witch Hazel and Lavender. Zinc PCA absorbs excess oils and helps to heal wounds, Chamomile acts as an anti inflammatory, Witch Hazel helps to tone and tighten pores and Lavender calms and soothes redness.

Simple is a skincare brand that I really trust, I do really like the idea behind their products and haven't disliked a single product that I've tried from them. At first glance you wouldn't expect this product to last you a long time, however just one of these tubes lasts me for months! I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I picked one of these up as it was so long ago. This product has a roll on applicator which means application is simple (no pun intended) easy and clean. These retail for £5.49 each however when I picked them up there was a buy one, get one free offer on all Simple products. So if you're interested in picking something up from this brand, I highly recommend you get to your local Superdrug now!

Next I picked up a little packet of T-ZONE pore strips. I don't often bother with pore strips as they're not really that great with your skin if you use them regularly. However I recently decided my skin could do with a good cleansing and I decided to give these a go. I'm yet to use these so I can't really say much about them right now. These retail for £5.05 (odd price) so I'm hoping they're good!

Next is a bit of a boring purchase however it was necessary. I picked up this bag of 100% Pure Cotton Wool Balls so I can use them to help take my makeup off. These retail for £1.49.

Next I picked up this pack of Superdrug's own Camomile Facial Cleansing Wipes. I personally hate spending lots of money of face wipes so I normally just go for the cheapest ones. I've previously used other Superdrug own face wipes however I've never used the camomile ones before. These retail for 99p.

Next I picked up a Tropical Cocktail face mask. As you can see from the pictures above this is a new product and I just had to try it. Cocktail face masks? How could anyone resist?! This face mask contains extracts of mango and noni fruit juice and it claims to "cleanse and revitalise skin". Me and my boyfriend both used this face mask last night and we both love it. We both felt like it had really cleansed our skin and left our faces feeling really smooth and soft. When I woke up this morning, I found that my skin looked much better! Not bad considering this product was only 99p.

Next I went to Primark and picked up this adorable black faux leather backpack. I've been wanting a backpack for ages now and I finally found one that I really liked that was also a good price. This cost me £9 and I just know I'm going to get loads of use out of it!

Also from Primark, were these beautiful Cigarette Style trousers. I've wanted to get a pair of trousers like this for a while now and what better time to pick some up when I'm in the middle of searching for a job. They have a beautiful yet subtle baroque style print on them which I think is just gorgeous. I picked these trousers up in a size 8 however I could have definitely done with a size 6 as they're too baggy on me so I have to keep shuffling them up every 5 minutes. I can't remember the exact price of these but I think they were about £12.

Next is another boring purchase however they are essential now it's getting colder! I picked up 2 pairs of tights, one being Primark's infamous super cosy tights which I don't think I've ever owned a pair of and the other being simple 15 denier black tights. I'm hoping the super cosy tights are as good as everyone says they are!
I think the tights were about £2.50 each but forgive me if I'm wrong.

Next up is another basic purchase and it's just a simple white vest from Primark. As I've been going to interviews I've been needing a little simple white vest to put underneath any shirts that are a little too sheer. I think this was around £3.

Next I got this beautiful monochrome Skort from Ebay. My boyfriend kindly bought me this as a treat and I couldn't possible be happier with it. It's stunning! When I first started seeing skorts about I thought they were ugly, I thought the shape of them was weird and I wasn't going to be wearing them. However, the more I saw them, the more I began to like them until suddenly I was desperate to get my hands on one too. I got this from Ebay and it was around £7 with free delivery. The quality of this is amazing, it feels so comforable and soft and I'm so surprised considering it was so cheap. I picked this up in an XS and it fits really well. I really like the geometric style print and I can't wait to style this for you guys!

Next I got these 2 beautiful thin gold Midi Rings from River Island. They came in a pack of 2 and only cost me £2 which is amazing. I've been wanting some midi rings for ages now but most places were charging far too much for what they are. I was on Ebay the other week looking at a 2 pack of midi rings that looked exactly like these and they were £8. I'm so glad I found these and can't wait to start wearing them!

Lastly is this monochrome striped dress from River Island. I've been wanting a dress like this for ages, Motel Rocks did one like this with larger stripes that I really wanted however it was around £40 which I thought was too expensive for what it was so I decided to wait and thank goodness I did. I found this on the River Island website for just £20 so I picked it up straight away. I can't wait to start wearing this so keep an eye out for it being featured in an OOTD post very soon.

That's all for this post, I hope you enjoyed!

I hope you're all well.

Paige.
