OOTD #27

I recently jumped on the sleeveless blazer bandwagon after initially being really against them. I picked up this little white one from Cameo Rose - a label stocked in New Look. Most of the white sleeveless jackets I've seen retail for about £30 - £40. This however, only cost £19.99, plus I was able to get student discount on it too so I ended up getting a really good deal on it! I wasn't 100% sure how I'd find styling the blazer as I have nothing in my wardrobe remotely like this, however I've been wearing it a lot recently and find styling it very easy. It smartens up the simplest of outfits, just like this one which consists of a really basic black dress and some sandals!

New Look Wishlist

Hello Readers,

So I was randomly browsing the New Look website last night when I started eyeing up a few pieces and before I knew it I was slowly adding them into my online basket. New Look has been really on point the last few months and is constantly amazing me with their on trend pieces and affordable prices! Here I've put together a list of some items that I really wouldn't mind adding to my wardrobe.

That's all for this post, I hope you're all well!

OOTD #21

Hello Readers,

Today I have my first OOTD post of 2014! I'm really hoping to post a lot more outfits this year as I'd say I have more of an interest in style rather than beauty, although saying that I do love them both. Also I feel like I don't really know enough about make-up to really be writing about it sometimes, I don't know if anyone else in the blogging community feels that way? My problem with OOTD posts is that I rarely ever go anywhere worth making an effort for, like today for example I went for breakfast and then went to the shop. Half the time I go out it's to run simple little errands like that so I don't wear anything special and anytime I actually am going anywhere and have made an effort, I don't seem to have time to take pictures. So I basically just need to push myself to either make an effort more often or to actually go places! - Potential resolutions for this year?

Today's outfit is rather simple and unfortunately is very similar to one that I wore back in October time I think? This skort has made an appearance on my blog before but I swear I'm wearing it with different items this time! (although they do look similar oops) As per usual I've stayed true to my typically monochromatic style, pairing this fluffy cropped Topshop jumper I got for Christmas with my little patterned skort. I've then paired it with my fairly new heeled boots from Topshop, I did originally want the Topshop Astrix boots, however they didn't have any in my size so I settled for the cheaper lookalikes and to be fair I love them just as much! They're extremely comfortable and give me a much needed height boost without being too unpractical. I threw on my new oversized jacket from New Look that I got last week and then to wrap it all up, It wouldn't be a typical outfit from me without my trusty little bowler hat that never seems to leave my head!

Fluffy Cropped Black Jumper - Topshop
Monochrome Skort - Ebay
Heeled Boots - Topshop
Bowler Hat - Amazon
Coat - New Look.
Tights - Primark

That's all for this post. I hope you're enjoyed it, sorry if it seems like I rambled on a little bit in some places - I feel like I may have got a little too chatty in this one haha!

I hope you're all well!

Christmas Gift Guide For Her: Under £20

Hello Readers,

I've decided that I wanted to do a few Christmas Gift Guides this year in order to help inspire those of you who are struggling on what to buy for loved ones this year.
Christmas is fast approaching and if you're anything like me you haven't bought any gifts yet and the panic is beginning to sink in. My first gift guide will be for Females, so this could be for your mum, friends, sister, girlfriend etc! I decided to keep everything under £20 so that way it's both affordable and reasonable.

1. Rabbit Novelty Hot Water Bottle - Amazon - £6.99
With the cold weather upon us a hot water bottle can never go a miss. Especially one as cute as this! (Unintentional rhyme oops)

2. Kylie Minogue Darling Perfume 50ml - Fragrance Direct - £8.95
I think when it comes to getting people fragrances at Christmas, some of the cheaper ones are often over looked as they're automatically judged as being not as great. I've had this one twice and love it! It's such a beautiful girly smell and is a great bargain!

3. Pug Mug - River Island - £8.00
It's a Pug. Need I say more?

4. Real Techniques Starter Kit - Amazon - £18.24
Real Techniques are a fantastic brand and I highly recommend their brushes. I don't know a single girl who wouldn't be happy at the sight of these on Christmas day! This is one of the sets that I don't have so I'm pretty eager to get my hands on this myself.

5. Cath Kidston Assorted Tea Mugs - Cath Kidston - £20
Cath Kidston is the ultimate source of all things super cute and quintessentially British. These assorted mugs are no exception!

6. Soap and Glory Relaxstation Gift Set - Boots - £20
Soap and Glory sets are classic gifts to receive at Christmas time, they're a great brand and offer some amazing gift sets at this time of year. All girls love them!

Okay so I don't know if this is maybe pushing the boundaries a bit here on what is TMI but I love getting new pants! I don't know what it is, I just love getting them, especially cute novelty ones like these. Obviously this isn't the sort of thing you want to be buying your mum but maybe this would be a nice treat for someone haha!

That's all for this post, I hope this has been somewhat helpful to some of you.

I hope you're all well!

Birthday Wishlist

Hello Readers,

Sorry again for disappearing for so long! I went home on Friday for a visit and didn't come back till late last night. As a future warning I probably won't blog at all when I go home for brief visits as I don't have any products or clothes with me that I want to photograph. Also because when I go home I don't want to be glued to my laptop, I want to be catching up with my family! So hopefully you all don't mind that.

Anyway, if you didn't know already it's my birthday in 10 days time. I'll be turning 19 which seems so crazy as I still feel and look about 14 years old! I decided to make a little birthday wishlist of a few items that I have my eye on right now and wouldn't mind receiving as a gift.

From Left To Right

6. Sleek Pout Paint in Lava - £5.72
7. Motel Zena Bodycon Dress in Henna Hand Print - £32

That's all for my birthday wishlist.

I hope you've enjoyed. Is your birthday coming up soon? What are you hoping to get for your birthday? Let me know!

I hope you're all well.

The Cut Out Boot Trend

Hello Readers,

I feel it's about time I finally step in and make a post about the cut out boot trend before it gets any later as I'm already quite late on the bandwagon with this one. Cut out boots are every where at the minute and more and more high street stores seem to be bringing out their answer to this this trend. I myself have only recently got my hands on a pair and I have been wearing them religiously for about 2 weeks now. When I first started seeing these boots I liked them but thought I personally wouldn't wear them as I don't go for really androgynous style shoes. I tried to embrace creepers when they were all the rage but I didn't end up wearing the pair I bought myself so I thought it was going to be the same case with the cut out boots. However I couldn't have been more wrong!

The Balenciaga Cut Out Ankle Boot seemed to kick start the whole thing off, but with a price tag of £795 you had to be pretty well off to get your hands on a pair of these shoes.

The first to bring out a dupe of these shoes was Jeffrey Campbell. The "Coltranes" allowed us to be able to rock the biker chic cut out boot style but without the extreme price tag. However at £150, it's still a bit of a splurge.

Fast forward a few weeks and now there seems to be dupes left right and centre. If you're wanting to get your hands on a pair of cut out boots but couldn't afford to splash out on the first 2 options then there are plenty of alternatives for you!

These boots are from Chockers Shoes and are a great cheaper alternative.

2.
EBAY CUT OUT BOOTS - £29.99
This pair are the ones that I have myself and they're amazing quality. Very comfortable and I didn't need to wear them in at all. I highly recommend!

3.
CUT OUT BLACK BRUGES CUT OUT BOOTS - £44.99
This pair are from Ark Clothing and are a bit more expensive from some of the other dupes, however they look to be very good quality.

This pair surprisingly come from New Look. They're very popular and have sold out fully. I do believe they have just restocked however so if you're interested have a look.

These boots are from a site called Mr Shoes and they're pretty good dupes for the Coltranes. This pair has silver hardware like the Coltranes and also has a very similar chunky shape. They are also a really good price!

Finally, this pair is from River Island and is another very popular dupe at the moment. The buckles on this are quite different and appear to expose more of the foot, so it's not an exact dupe for either of the expensive boots, however they are really nice and quite quirky due to the different buckles.

That's all for this post, I hope you've enjoyed.
Let me know if this has helped you in anyway at all or if you have any of these pairs and would recommend them. I'd love to hear.

Oh I'd just like to say that I'm sorry for missing 3 days of blogtober. I went home for the weekend so I didn't really have time to be updating my blog. I knew I'd fail at it haha!

Hope you're all well.

Paige.

A/W Styling

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Hello Readers,

As we're well into Autumn now, I've been looking around trying to find some new pieces to add to my wardrobe. I spotted these lovely items all on the New Look website and felt like sharing them with you. This outfit is really simple yet effective, the geometric print skirt definitely adds a 60's vibe to it. I've had my eye on the oversized boyfriend style blazer for a while now and I might just have to take the plunge and buy it as I really love it!

That's all for this post. I hope you're all well!

Paige.

New Look Autumn Preview.

Hello Readers!

So I was just browsing the internet today when I randomly stumbled on New Look's website. I came across a section called "Autumn Preview" where some pieces from their A/W 13 range are currently on display. Now I used to love New Look when I was a young teen, however at 16 I discovered Topshop and that quickly replaced New Look as my favourite store. New Look's stock
never really impressed me however they've really stepped up their game now! I'm always able to find quite a few things that I want from their site now and their A/W 13 range looks to be no exception. Here I've created an outfit from some pieces featured in next seasons stock.

Black Double Buckle Metal Tip Leather Boots - £69.99

What do you think of some of the pieces from New Look's A/W 13 range?
Let me know in the comments!

Hope you're all well.

Paige.

How I'd Style: Pinafores

 Hello Everyone!

Today I shall be showing you how I'd style 4 different pinafores. I'll be showing you how I'd style a denim one, a black one and 2 patterned ones. Unfortunately I do not own all of these pinafores but hopefully in time I could maybe add some similar ones to my wardrobe. I created these looks using Polyvore so some of the pieces I've used are high end, however this was unintentional and you could easily find something similar on the high street.
The first look I've created has quite a grungy edge to it and it features this beautiful denim pinafore dress from Miss Selfridge. This denim pinafore dress has PU leather straps, so to compliment this I decided to pair it with a mesh crop top from Topshop. I then added a pair of black flat form shoes and a black leather back pack which heightens the grungy vibe and makes for a cool and edgy outfit. A pair of round black sunglasses and a vampy lip would definitely help to set this outfit off.

The second outfit is so me! I already have a pinafore and shirt exactly like this so I already know I'd wear this combination for sure. This outfit keeps up with the recent monochrome trend, however the gold accessories and red lipstick help to break it up and make it that little bit less predictable. The black pinafore itself is quite dressy but the bowler hat, flatforms and backpack help to tone it down a bit and give it more of a daytime look.

Look 3 features a floral print which is very popular for Spring / Summer 2013 and that is the daisy print. This outfit is really girly, really cute and is super wearable. This pinafore is currently in the New Look Sale for £9 so if you want it, you better get it fast!

Look 4 features another beautiful printed pinafore which I believe is also from New Look. This outfit has a cute, vintage-esque vibe to it and is just too adorable for words. I think this outfit would be perfect for a picnic, a bike ride, a walk round the woods or just any outdoor activity! It's fun, girly and quite practical at the same time.

So that's it for my post today. Hopefully this has either inspired you with how you could wear a pinafore, or maybe even encouraged you to purchase one if you haven't already! I personally love all these outfits I've created and would happily wear them all if I could only afford to buy all the items!

Let me know what you think of this post in the comments, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Hope you're all well.

Paige.
