OOTD #21

Hello Readers,

Today I have my first OOTD post of 2014! I'm really hoping to post a lot more outfits this year as I'd say I have more of an interest in style rather than beauty, although saying that I do love them both. Also I feel like I don't really know enough about make-up to really be writing about it sometimes, I don't know if anyone else in the blogging community feels that way? My problem with OOTD posts is that I rarely ever go anywhere worth making an effort for, like today for example I went for breakfast and then went to the shop. Half the time I go out it's to run simple little errands like that so I don't wear anything special and anytime I actually am going anywhere and have made an effort, I don't seem to have time to take pictures. So I basically just need to push myself to either make an effort more often or to actually go places! - Potential resolutions for this year?

Today's outfit is rather simple and unfortunately is very similar to one that I wore back in October time I think? This skort has made an appearance on my blog before but I swear I'm wearing it with different items this time! (although they do look similar oops) As per usual I've stayed true to my typically monochromatic style, pairing this fluffy cropped Topshop jumper I got for Christmas with my little patterned skort. I've then paired it with my fairly new heeled boots from Topshop, I did originally want the Topshop Astrix boots, however they didn't have any in my size so I settled for the cheaper lookalikes and to be fair I love them just as much! They're extremely comfortable and give me a much needed height boost without being too unpractical. I threw on my new oversized jacket from New Look that I got last week and then to wrap it all up, It wouldn't be a typical outfit from me without my trusty little bowler hat that never seems to leave my head!

Fluffy Cropped Black Jumper - Topshop
Monochrome Skort - Ebay
Heeled Boots - Topshop
Bowler Hat - Amazon
Coat - New Look.
Tights - Primark

That's all for this post. I hope you're enjoyed it, sorry if it seems like I rambled on a little bit in some places - I feel like I may have got a little too chatty in this one haha!

I hope you're all well!

Ebay Wishlist #3

*None of these images were taken by me*
Hello Readers,

Today I have another Ebay Wishlist for you all, however it unintentionally turned into a monochrome themed one. I just can't help myself, I seem to be drawn to black and white!
I'm not really much of an Ebay shopper myself however I can always find a few bits and pieces that I like.

1. Primark Black Heart Print Tea Dress - £11.99
I am always drawn towards anything black and white, especially when it has a print on it. I've been looking at a very similar playsuit to this on Boohoo recently so it's safe to say that I'm loving heart print at the moment. I think this is just a really cute dress that easy to style and a great staple to have.

2. River Island Black and White Geometric Print Skater Skirt - £9.99
Another black and white item with a print to it. I was eyeing this up for ages and when I finally saw in the sale in River Island, they were out of my size. Fast forward a month or so later and I find it on Ebay. This skirt is a timeless piece, very easy to style and again a good staple to have.

3. Black Cropped Mesh Top with Heart Detail - £14.99
I don't know if this is everyone's cup of tea however I am really drawn to this crop top. It's quite a loud piece but I think if styled correctly it could look really nice. I love the texture of this item and I can safely say there's nothing like this in my wardrobe.

4. Wool Cat Ear Bowler Hat - £2.86
I have been desperate for one of these ever since I saw one in H&M a little while ago. I think they're really adorable and definitely a good piece to have now as it's so close to Halloween.

5. Round Circle Frame Sunglasses with Engraved Letter Detail - £8.99
Next up is an item that I'm sure most of you may recognise from Kavita's blog She Wears Fashion. Kavita has been sporting these sunglasses in quite a few of her OOTD posts and she is definitely the reason I want a pair. She pulls them off so well so I'm curious to see if I can too as I've only recently got into slightly more wacky looking pairs of sunglasses.

That's all for this post, I hope you've enjoyed!
Let me know what you think of the items.

I hope you're all well.

OOTD #18

Hello Readers,

I've already tried to do this post once today but it messed up so hopefully this time it works! Today I have an OOTD post for you all. I'd just like to apologize for the quality of these photographs as they're not very good. I had to take these images during the evening so the lighting sucks. I spent my day handing out more CV's and just in general walking around Nottingham. Me and my boyfriend Chris also stopped to have lunch at this adorable little café called the Olive Tree. I wish I had bought my camera along to snap some pictures!

My outfit today was quite simple, I decided to wear my brand new Motel Rocks shirt which I picked up in their recent sale for £19. Believe it or not but that was the first time I've ever placed an order with Motel Rocks and I'd gladly do it again. I was super happy with the service and the quality of my items. I shall do a small haul post within the next few days where I'll show you the other Motel item I picked up as well as this shirt.

Outfit:
Faux Leather Skirt - H&M
Cropped Printed Shirt - Motel Rocks
Tights - Primark
Backpack - Primark
Bowler Hat - Amazon

That's it for this post, I hope you're all well!

OOTD #17

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you all. I decided today was the day I was going to style up this beautiful skort I got from Ebay a week or so ago. I featured it in a recent haul so if you're interested in seeing that click here. I decided to keep this outfit quite simple and work with the monochrome theme. I think although this outfit is rather basic, it still looks interesting due to the quirky cut of the skort and the eyecatching geometric style print.

I also wanted to do this post to show off the fact that I finally got my hair cut. If you've been keeping up with my blog or my twitter, you'd have seen that I've been winging about my hair for a while now. For ages I've been unsure whether or not to keep my side fringe or go back to a full fringe and yesterday I bit the bullet and decided on a full fringe. I also had quite a bit taken off the length as my hair was in such a bad state. I'm really happy with my hair so I hope you like it too!

Outfit:

Leather Jacket with Faux Fur Collar - Topshop
Black Jumper - H&M
Monochrome Skort - Ebay
Tights - Primark
Peter Pan Boots - New Look
Backpack - Primark
Bowler Hat - Amazon

That's all for this post, I hope you're all well.

OOTD #15

Hello Readers,

Today I have an OOTD post for you. Technically I'm cheating here because I'm showing you an outfit which I wore on Sunday when my parents came up to Nottingham to take me out for Sunday dinner. Being a fussy eater who despises Sunday dinners, I managed to get them to go to a Chinese buffet instead, yummy! I had a job assessment today which lasted over 7 hours so I didn't get a chance to photograph my outfit today which is why I just decided to make use of these previous OOTD shots which I never used.
So I hope you don't mind.
This is quite a simple outfit I know, however I really like the minimalistic monochrome styling of it. Also I've been wearing my hat to death recently as my hair is such a mess, it desperately needs cut, especially my fringe. I'm thinking of getting a full fringe back in however I'm not sure as I always have a love hate relationship with it. Any suggestions to what I could do with my hair? Full fringe, side fringe? What do you think would suit me better? I'd love to hear some opinions!

Outfit;
Oversized Boxy Crop Top - Primark
Black Jamie Jeans - Topshop
Cut Out Ankle Boots - Ebay
Gold Chain Necklace - River Island
Bowler Hat - Amazon

I hope you're all well!

Paige.

OOTD #14

Hello Everyone.

Today I have my first OOTD post for you since my move to Nottingham. I've had quite a productive day today, wandering around the city centre handing out CV's, doing a bit of food shopping and just generally exploring as there's so much of Nottingham that I'm yet to see!
Whilst out today I was stopped by 2 different Fashion Communication Students who asked to photograph me as part of their project on Street Style, I've never in my life had anything like this happen to me so I felt extremely flattered. Nothing like that would ever happen in my little town back in Northampton haha. The little tartan top I wore today seemed to draw in a lot of attention from people and it was only £6 from Primark. Amazing value! I'm really happy with the way I styled it today and I can't wait to plan more outfits around it and my new cut out boots. As you can see from these pictures, I've finally managed to get my hands on a pair of cut out boots that I was talking about in my last wishlist post. (Thank you to my boyfriend) I've already wore them out twice since getting them on Saturday and I can already tell that these will be featured many more times to come on this blog.

Outfit:
Tartan Peter Pan Collar Crop Top - Primark
Disco Pants - American Apparel
Cut Out Boots - Ebay
Bowler Hat - Amazon

That's all for todays post. I hope you're all well!

OOTD #10

Hello My Lovelies!

I'm here today with an outfit of the day post for you. Surprisingly we are currently in a heat wave here in England, so I'm still pulling out my summer clothes. I've even struggled trying to keep up with this nice weather, it seems I don't have as many summer clothes as I first thought! Despite it being Summer I couldn't help myself but throw on a black bowler hat and a dark vampy lip. The hat is becoming a staple in my wardrobe now as it means I can be really lazy with my hair and embrace my natural waves. Infact, I haven't used heat to style my hair in days, maybe even longer. I just leave it to dry and shove a hat on, job done!

Today it is super hot and I've been feeling really lazy so I just threw on this oversized, floaty vest from All Saints. It has a dipped hem at the back and a beautiful faded black Aztec print. It's the perfect sort of vest to wear on a day like this as it's so lightweight and baggy. I bought this on a shopping trip in London 2 years ago so I don't think it's available anymore. However, All Saints stock doesn't change too much from year to year so there's bound to be something similar in store. As this is a top, I paired it with a little pair of light wash denim shorts from Topshop. This protects my modesty (haha) yet creates the illusion that I'm wearing a edgy dress. I slipped on my favourite brown sandals and my staple black bowler hat and that's it!

Denim Cut Off Shorts - Topshop
Brown Sandals - George at Asda

That's it for todays post, I hope you enjoyed.
I'm off to try and sunbathe in the garden!

Hope you're all well.

Paige.

OOTD #9

Hello Readers!

Today's post is an outfit of the day. I've been busy photographing a prom today and now I'm eating a Chinese, watching a movie and trying to edit the photos as well as typing this out (multi-tasking at it's finest) so I've not really had time to do anything other than a simple post so I hope you don't mind. The heat wave continues in England! So amazingly I'm still digging out the summer clothing. As you may be able to see from these photos, I've caught the sun on my knee caps which is why they're bright red and incredibly painful.

I got the shirt and skirt from Topshop about two years ago so I don't think they'll be available anymore although they could have something similar out right now. I'm wearing Coral Bliss by MAC in these shots as it's my favourite lipstick right now, I love how this lipstick picks out the coral tones in the skirt and helps compliment them.

Beauty Things I Suck At.

Hello My Lovelies!

Today I'll be doing something a bit different, I've seen this tag floating around on Youtube and a lot of beauty gurus have been doing it. I personally love watching this people do this tag, probably because I find it quite reassuring to know that I'm not the only one who struggles with certain beauty related tasks. Anyway, I'm not brave enough to sit infront of a camera and record myself talking but I wanted to do this tag really badly so I thought why not just do it on my blog. I don't know if anyone else has done a blog post version of this tag yet but I'd be interested to see anyone who has. So here goes, here is a list of beauty things that I suck at!

1. Applying False Eyelashes
I have tried on so many occasions to put false eyelashes on and I think I've only ever had 3 positive experiences with them. I just can't seem to put them on properly despite the fact I follow all the instructions and tips which are meant to help you. I put a thin and even strip of glue along the lash line, wait till it goes tacky and then apply them as close to my lash line as possible. I'll hold them down for a few seconds and then when I take my hands off, I see that the inner corner of the lashes has flapped up yet the rest of the eyelash has gone on perfectly. Then I always end up battling with the inner corner, trying to put more glue on to that part, which then results in there being too much glue, the glue goes into my eyes, my eyes start running and the false eyelash just becomes too wet to work with so I give up and rip them off in frustration. I honestly couldn't tell you how many times I've had that exact problem. Clearly, I'm just not meant to wear false lashes!

2.Eyeliner
I'm talking about lid liner that is by the way, in particular the cat eye. I wear eyeliner almost everyday yet I still struggle with it on a regular basis. I'm getting better at doing a thin line across my lid but I'm still absolutely rubbish when it comes to doing the little flick. It just never looks even, one looks more curved whereas the other flick just looks straight, so i'll keep adding to the flicks until I'll have either 2 ridiculously long straight lines coming from off my eyes, are 2 ridiculously long curved lines coming off my eyes. Neither of which is a good look! It normally takes me a few attempts when I'm doing my eyeliner flicks until I'm happy with it or I just can't be bothered anymore.

3.Curling My Lashes
Let it be known now that I cannot for the life of me, curl my eyelashes. I don't even have an eyelash curler anymore as I was so frustrated with it that I threw it out. I have very short, stubby lashes so mascara on it's own never really works wonders for me so I thought curling my lashes would be a brilliant idea as then I'd be able to have lovely big, curled lashes. Wrong! I could never curl my lashes without pulling a bunch of them out or catching my eyelid which is extremely painful and uncomfortable. After catching my eyelid with my eyelash curlers on multiple occasions I developed a fear of using them so I couldn't even bring myself to lift them anywhere near my eyes anymore.

4. Blending Eyeshadow
So I wouldn't say I'm absolutely awful at this, most of the time I'm quite happy with my ability to use and blend eyeshadow, however sometimes when I'm using a darker colour I always worry that it doesn't look blended enough, and so I'll keep blending it but then I worry that it's too blended and the colour isn't even noticeable anymore. So basically, I struggle to meet in the middle of too much blending and not enough blending. If that makes any sense?

5.Hair
Does this even fit into this tag? I hope so! Basically, if you haven't been able to tell from my pictures already, I am rubbish at doing hair! I can't curl it very well, I certainly can't straighten it very well either. I'm just rubbish at doing my hair! My hair is very thick, wavy and frizzy so I can be very lazy when it comes to doing it.

So that's it for beauty things I suck at. I hope you enjoyed this post. If you or anyone else has done a blog post of this tag let me know and link it below! I'd love to have a look.

Take Care!

Paige.

OOTD #5

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for being absent the last 2 days! None of my blog post ideas really worked out for either of those 2 days so please forgive me for that. Today's post is a simple outfit of the day but I hope you enjoy it anyway. The weather has been really disappointing today. Cloudy, mild and with the odd rain shower here and there. My outfit is pretty simple as I'm not really doing anything today, just sitting in my boyfriends house playing Skyrim on the Xbox!

I'm trying to plan things to do over my Summer and so far I've planned to go to the Zoo and most likely go on at least one decent shopping trip!
Other than that I can just see myself sitting indoors quite a lot as I suffer from awful hay fever so I don't tend venture out much when the weather is nice. How exciting!
