Tropical Vibes

Hello Readers,

Today I have a little fashion mood board to share with you all. As we're getting closer to Summer (apparently) the highstreet stores are flourishing with bright vibrant colours and in your face tropical prints. I'm not the biggest fan of colour, in fact if you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that I'm pretty much a full on monochrome lover. It's a rare occasion if I'm ever wearing colour, however this year bright colours have been really catching my eye and I've found myself lusting after neon pieces and quirky patterned clothes. Here I've put together an outfit consisting of some of the Tropical inspired pieces that River Island are currently stocking. I 100% need to go and get that skirt at some point as this is one I feel like I can't go without..

1. Yellow High Neck Crop Top  - £10
2. Blue Floral Print Skirt - £25
3. Gold Tone Mixed Rings - £8
4. Yellow Peep Toe Platforms - £55
5. Gold Tone Slinky Bar Necklace - £12
6. Purple perspex embellished box clutch bag - £35

That's all for this post! I hope you're all well.

Ebay Wishlist #3

*None of these images were taken by me*
Hello Readers,

Today I have another Ebay Wishlist for you all, however it unintentionally turned into a monochrome themed one. I just can't help myself, I seem to be drawn to black and white!
I'm not really much of an Ebay shopper myself however I can always find a few bits and pieces that I like.

1. Primark Black Heart Print Tea Dress - £11.99
I am always drawn towards anything black and white, especially when it has a print on it. I've been looking at a very similar playsuit to this on Boohoo recently so it's safe to say that I'm loving heart print at the moment. I think this is just a really cute dress that easy to style and a great staple to have.

2. River Island Black and White Geometric Print Skater Skirt - £9.99
Another black and white item with a print to it. I was eyeing this up for ages and when I finally saw in the sale in River Island, they were out of my size. Fast forward a month or so later and I find it on Ebay. This skirt is a timeless piece, very easy to style and again a good staple to have.

3. Black Cropped Mesh Top with Heart Detail - £14.99
I don't know if this is everyone's cup of tea however I am really drawn to this crop top. It's quite a loud piece but I think if styled correctly it could look really nice. I love the texture of this item and I can safely say there's nothing like this in my wardrobe.

4. Wool Cat Ear Bowler Hat - £2.86
I have been desperate for one of these ever since I saw one in H&M a little while ago. I think they're really adorable and definitely a good piece to have now as it's so close to Halloween.

5. Round Circle Frame Sunglasses with Engraved Letter Detail - £8.99
Next up is an item that I'm sure most of you may recognise from Kavita's blog She Wears Fashion. Kavita has been sporting these sunglasses in quite a few of her OOTD posts and she is definitely the reason I want a pair. She pulls them off so well so I'm curious to see if I can too as I've only recently got into slightly more wacky looking pairs of sunglasses.

That's all for this post, I hope you've enjoyed!
Let me know what you think of the items.

I hope you're all well.

Mini Haul #7

Hello Readers,

Today I have a mini haul to share with you all. I've been picking up a few bits and bobs over the last 2 weeks and I thought I'd share them with you. There's a mixture of beauty, clothes and accessories so I'll just get straight into it!

First thing I got was 2 Simple Kind To Skin Roll On Spot Zappers. I've got through loads of these little tubes now and I love them. The Roll On Spot Zappers are really kind and gentle to the skin and help to gradually get rid of any spots that I have. They contain Zinc, Chamomile, Witch Hazel and Lavender. Zinc PCA absorbs excess oils and helps to heal wounds, Chamomile acts as an anti inflammatory, Witch Hazel helps to tone and tighten pores and Lavender calms and soothes redness.

Simple is a skincare brand that I really trust, I do really like the idea behind their products and haven't disliked a single product that I've tried from them. At first glance you wouldn't expect this product to last you a long time, however just one of these tubes lasts me for months! I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I picked one of these up as it was so long ago. This product has a roll on applicator which means application is simple (no pun intended) easy and clean. These retail for £5.49 each however when I picked them up there was a buy one, get one free offer on all Simple products. So if you're interested in picking something up from this brand, I highly recommend you get to your local Superdrug now!

Next I picked up a little packet of T-ZONE pore strips. I don't often bother with pore strips as they're not really that great with your skin if you use them regularly. However I recently decided my skin could do with a good cleansing and I decided to give these a go. I'm yet to use these so I can't really say much about them right now. These retail for £5.05 (odd price) so I'm hoping they're good!

Next is a bit of a boring purchase however it was necessary. I picked up this bag of 100% Pure Cotton Wool Balls so I can use them to help take my makeup off. These retail for £1.49.

Next I picked up this pack of Superdrug's own Camomile Facial Cleansing Wipes. I personally hate spending lots of money of face wipes so I normally just go for the cheapest ones. I've previously used other Superdrug own face wipes however I've never used the camomile ones before. These retail for 99p.

Next I picked up a Tropical Cocktail face mask. As you can see from the pictures above this is a new product and I just had to try it. Cocktail face masks? How could anyone resist?! This face mask contains extracts of mango and noni fruit juice and it claims to "cleanse and revitalise skin". Me and my boyfriend both used this face mask last night and we both love it. We both felt like it had really cleansed our skin and left our faces feeling really smooth and soft. When I woke up this morning, I found that my skin looked much better! Not bad considering this product was only 99p.

Next I went to Primark and picked up this adorable black faux leather backpack. I've been wanting a backpack for ages now and I finally found one that I really liked that was also a good price. This cost me £9 and I just know I'm going to get loads of use out of it!

Also from Primark, were these beautiful Cigarette Style trousers. I've wanted to get a pair of trousers like this for a while now and what better time to pick some up when I'm in the middle of searching for a job. They have a beautiful yet subtle baroque style print on them which I think is just gorgeous. I picked these trousers up in a size 8 however I could have definitely done with a size 6 as they're too baggy on me so I have to keep shuffling them up every 5 minutes. I can't remember the exact price of these but I think they were about £12.

Next is another boring purchase however they are essential now it's getting colder! I picked up 2 pairs of tights, one being Primark's infamous super cosy tights which I don't think I've ever owned a pair of and the other being simple 15 denier black tights. I'm hoping the super cosy tights are as good as everyone says they are!
I think the tights were about £2.50 each but forgive me if I'm wrong.

Next up is another basic purchase and it's just a simple white vest from Primark. As I've been going to interviews I've been needing a little simple white vest to put underneath any shirts that are a little too sheer. I think this was around £3.

Next I got this beautiful monochrome Skort from Ebay. My boyfriend kindly bought me this as a treat and I couldn't possible be happier with it. It's stunning! When I first started seeing skorts about I thought they were ugly, I thought the shape of them was weird and I wasn't going to be wearing them. However, the more I saw them, the more I began to like them until suddenly I was desperate to get my hands on one too. I got this from Ebay and it was around £7 with free delivery. The quality of this is amazing, it feels so comforable and soft and I'm so surprised considering it was so cheap. I picked this up in an XS and it fits really well. I really like the geometric style print and I can't wait to style this for you guys!

Next I got these 2 beautiful thin gold Midi Rings from River Island. They came in a pack of 2 and only cost me £2 which is amazing. I've been wanting some midi rings for ages now but most places were charging far too much for what they are. I was on Ebay the other week looking at a 2 pack of midi rings that looked exactly like these and they were £8. I'm so glad I found these and can't wait to start wearing them!

Lastly is this monochrome striped dress from River Island. I've been wanting a dress like this for ages, Motel Rocks did one like this with larger stripes that I really wanted however it was around £40 which I thought was too expensive for what it was so I decided to wait and thank goodness I did. I found this on the River Island website for just £20 so I picked it up straight away. I can't wait to start wearing this so keep an eye out for it being featured in an OOTD post very soon.

That's all for this post, I hope you enjoyed!

I hope you're all well.

Paige.

The Cut Out Boot Trend

Hello Readers,

I feel it's about time I finally step in and make a post about the cut out boot trend before it gets any later as I'm already quite late on the bandwagon with this one. Cut out boots are every where at the minute and more and more high street stores seem to be bringing out their answer to this this trend. I myself have only recently got my hands on a pair and I have been wearing them religiously for about 2 weeks now. When I first started seeing these boots I liked them but thought I personally wouldn't wear them as I don't go for really androgynous style shoes. I tried to embrace creepers when they were all the rage but I didn't end up wearing the pair I bought myself so I thought it was going to be the same case with the cut out boots. However I couldn't have been more wrong!

The Balenciaga Cut Out Ankle Boot seemed to kick start the whole thing off, but with a price tag of £795 you had to be pretty well off to get your hands on a pair of these shoes.

The first to bring out a dupe of these shoes was Jeffrey Campbell. The "Coltranes" allowed us to be able to rock the biker chic cut out boot style but without the extreme price tag. However at £150, it's still a bit of a splurge.

Fast forward a few weeks and now there seems to be dupes left right and centre. If you're wanting to get your hands on a pair of cut out boots but couldn't afford to splash out on the first 2 options then there are plenty of alternatives for you!

These boots are from Chockers Shoes and are a great cheaper alternative.

2.
EBAY CUT OUT BOOTS - £29.99
This pair are the ones that I have myself and they're amazing quality. Very comfortable and I didn't need to wear them in at all. I highly recommend!

3.
CUT OUT BLACK BRUGES CUT OUT BOOTS - £44.99
This pair are from Ark Clothing and are a bit more expensive from some of the other dupes, however they look to be very good quality.

This pair surprisingly come from New Look. They're very popular and have sold out fully. I do believe they have just restocked however so if you're interested have a look.

These boots are from a site called Mr Shoes and they're pretty good dupes for the Coltranes. This pair has silver hardware like the Coltranes and also has a very similar chunky shape. They are also a really good price!

Finally, this pair is from River Island and is another very popular dupe at the moment. The buckles on this are quite different and appear to expose more of the foot, so it's not an exact dupe for either of the expensive boots, however they are really nice and quite quirky due to the different buckles.

That's all for this post, I hope you've enjoyed.
Let me know if this has helped you in anyway at all or if you have any of these pairs and would recommend them. I'd love to hear.

Oh I'd just like to say that I'm sorry for missing 3 days of blogtober. I went home for the weekend so I didn't really have time to be updating my blog. I knew I'd fail at it haha!

Hope you're all well.

Paige.

AW13 Trend; Plaid.

Hello Readers!

I've been browsing clothing websites recently as I've been keen to look at next seasons stock and I've noticed that Punk styling is going to be in style for these colder months so expect to see studs, chunky ankle boots of course, Plaid. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but there's been a fair few pieces of plaid items popping up here and there on clothing sites. Remember last year when everyone and their mum had a tartan scarf? Well it looks like this trend will be making a return for AW13. Here I've put together a collage of some of my favourite plaid items that I've spotted online recently.
